PartneringStarter - an ANBPR advocacy project for a coherent education in partnerships

 

 

 

 

 

 

The National Association of Public Librarians and Libraries in Romania - ANBPR held on Wednesday, February 22, 2017, the launching conference of the innovative project PartneringStarter. This project is one of the 5 winner innovative projects in the Innovation Awards 2016 competition, organized by Future Library, within the INELI Balkans International Network of Emerging Library Innovators.
The launching Conference was hosted at the National Library of Romania, where the more than 35 professionals interested in the project, coming from different fields - NGOs, public institutions, business area entities and media representatives - had the opportunity to meet each other.
The project proposes to initiate a modern customised new service, designed to support libraries in their work on partnerships facilitation. Through its proposed activities, PartneringStarter project will plead for a new and collaborative approach of partnerships issues. Project scenario is based on the development of a software solution in order to match partners, implemented at the ANBPR level. The platform dedicated to the partnerships management, its development being ongoing, is a complex web application based on a multi-layered database. ANBPR hopes that, by implementing this innovative project, will help the improvement of knowledge and practices in identifying and cultivating strategic partnerships, involving libraries, local authorities, NGOs and other interested entities.
PartneringStarter project is an innovative way to raise public awareness on the value of cultivating responsible partnerships. In addition, through this initiative, ANBPR wants to encourage collaboration between different types of organizations and experts in interdisciplinary spirit and exchange of know-how
